Veterans Rehabilitation and Remodeling Posted by KCs Improvement & Construction Co., Inc. May 27th, 2017

According the United States Department of Aging, the majority of the aging population in the United States live in homes that are 20 years old or older.  These older homes will require upgrades for a person to age in place.  The ability to remain in a home, where family memories reside and families have been raised not only increases the sense of community but contributes to happiness and peace of mind.

Older adults and Military Veteran’s made need modifications in order to live safely, independently and comfortably in their home.

KC’s Improvement & Construction Co., is proud to be an approved Veteran’s Affairs Rehabilitation and Aging in place contractor.  We have been serving the Triad for over 33 years, with a passion for providing our dedicated Veteran’s and older families, safe, reliable, and affordable modifications and rehabilitation that allow them to remain in their homes.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has programs that can help veterans and service members modify their homes to allow them to continue to live independently.  Some common alterations performed are: improved access to the home via a handicap ramp or other entrance modifications, adding bathroom or kitchen grab bars and handrails, bathroom remodeling to accommodate a low entrance shower or bath tub, modifying kitchen countertop heights, among a plethora of other modifications that help veterans adapt their home to their needs.
