Garage Conversion
It is common to feel like your home doesn’t have the space you need, particularly as we head into the holidays when you might have a house full of family and friends. If a long table with all the Thanksgiving courses means rearranging half of your house, it might be time to consider a garage conversion instead. Creating a space for entertaining is one of many ways a garage conversion can make a difference, not only during the holidays, but throughout the year.

While you could move your vehicles out of the garage and set up tables there without going to the trouble and cost of a garage conversion, it won’t have the welcoming appearance you might want. Most homes do not have temperature-controlled garages either, so your guests could be far from comfortable. A garage conversion can involve putting in a separate HVAC system or connecting to the existing one if it can handle the additional square footage. The space can also be given additional insulation so it’ll be warmer during the winter and cooler in the summer.

A garage conversion doesn’t need to take up your entire garage, either. If you have a 2 or 3-car garage, your new space can involve just one section while still permitting vehicle storage and other uses, such as laundry facilities and golf cart storage. There is also the option to expand the existing garage or add a carport so that when the garage conversion is completed, your vehicles are still protected.
